There was the show with Boyd coddington, i recall his cars typically losing money at auction, then there was "wrecks to Riches"....they always lost their ass at auction. Then there was the recent show where they had the big junk yard and restored cars...generally always losing big at the auction.
now "Fast N loud"...they build these cars that they like, how they like em..and time after time, take them to the same auction, and probably 90% of the time, lose thousands, sometimes 10's of thousands at a time...
The last one I saw, between 2 cars, he lost 14,150 bucks...as in, not that they sold for less than he wanted, they sold for 14K less than he had invested in them. One, sold for less money than he originally bought the car for..lol
But then, they sell cars on CL for big profits, sell cars to private buyers, and always either double their money, or make a few grand...
personally, If I took 10 cars to auction, and only made money on 2..and lost my ass on all the rest..as its a no reserve auction..id find another auction, or try ebay, something.
its entertaining, but jesus its like watching a guy keep walking into a glass door...
