I can't see how that's a good idea. :slap:

Brown [the owner of the firing range] sent WSB-TV a statement clarifying that once someone has ordered a drink in the lounge, they will not be permitted to enter the firing range:
"Customers will have to order a drink with their identification card and once the card is accepted, and flagged, they cannot be checked back into the range that day," the statement reads.

I'm really good friends with the owners.

I am an avid supporter of gun owner's rights but this is really not a good idea.
Liquor + Guns is NEVER a good idea. Just because they can't go back in the range it still means they have guns on or near them.
I know that can happen anywhere but this puts a spotlight on it.

The two gun clubs I belong to have bars......One drink and the ranges are off limits and there has never been a problem at either one..............:)

I was thinking... it would either be the most dangerous bar in the world or the most polite one. :yesnod:

Nice to know, I'll be in touch. :seasix:
This kind of zero tolerance, CYA bullshit is why I go to the gun range pre-loaded. Saves me from having to close one eye when I shoot.
not serious

Reminds me of a buddy of mine: He offered to help me wire my workshop. He came out on a Saturday and asked for a beer. After he had drunk a 6-pack he said, "Let's get to work."
I said, "Eddie, you've had a lot to drink. Are you sure?".
He said, "You don't expect me to work with electricity sober, do you?".

I used to say that one day I wanted to open the first drive through Liquor, Guns and Power Tools store.

Sounds like my kind of good times. The military is making me go shoot machine guns this weekend. Just damn!!!!:D I've been talking smack to my Commander (Lt. Col type) challenging him to come on out to the range. I finally think I have him talked into it. A friend of mine and I have been on him for the last week or so. He is an avid hunter/shooter, so if we don't out shoot him, we will NEVER hear the end of it. The shit talking on our side has reached magnificent proportions. I had his secretary go in his office yesterday and ask him if he had been working out his trigger finger. Should make for a good time!:seasix: Weapons will be M4's which I'm used to as well as my buddy. I plan on making some video of us out there, so look for it Sunday night time frame.

You need to move to GA. We are all packing heat. Most people are very polite when they see a .45 hanging on your side. :seasix:
