When I lived in Florida, my network wasn't locked....but I had only one device on my network. Well I got kicked off due to an IP Conflict. I put my network on lockdown, with both a Mac filter and a wifi password. A few days later my dipshit neighbor came over and offered to pay me to share the wifi. I told him to feck off,

Nope. Being that I only had one house within range (my sister) I never locked down the router, and would always shut it off when I wasn't using it. Mind you, this was before phones with data plans, and having a laptop on all the time. It never occurred to me that my own sister would steal my connection, so I never locked it. Well one day my dumbass sister came over and asked my GF turn the router on real fast, so she could pay a bill that was due that day! She even asked her not to tell me! :kick:

My daughter lives in a less than ideal neighborhood. Had neighbors suspected of cooking meth, so when I redid their network, I renamed their router HPD_West_1.

Huntsville Police Department West Precinct.

People started moving out of that place not long afterwards. :D
