Well for those of you that did not come out you missed a classic Ratpack event. 6 generations of Corvette giving "spirited" ride alongs until an off duty cop decided to show us what you can do with a badge and a gun.

We followed the old adage "it ain't a party if no body calls the cops"

While the cop was reading me the riot act and I'm trying to explain we're really not driving that aggressively, Rex does a 100 foot burnout right in front of us in his hopped up C6 Z06:slap: hangs a right and nails it again.:toetap:

I thought the cop was going to bust a forehead vein right in front of me :explode:

Sorry Tony..the next time a guy walks up to me and asks, "who's in charge of the Corvettes?"...I'll just send him into the Ferguson building to look for the security guard!

Hey...it was fun while it lasted...until Barney showed up and put his bullet in his gun! :D

CRAP CRAP CRAP!!! :toetap:

When we were talking about the ride alongs last weekend at cars and no coffee, I had no idea it was happening so soon.

I saw this thread yesterday morning, but was totally unprepared for a ride over after work. Sounds like a great time was had by all!

Yeah I'm blocked from the Barn at work again and forgot to post anything until it was too late. Jimmy posted for me but it was late notice.

Funny thing was there were two cops at the event and they had no problem with what we were doing, some off duty guy got a bug up his butt and had to show us what he could do even on private property with owner permission.

His whole deal was we were not in a roped off area even if it was private property.

We continued to do rides just had to dial it down a couple of notches.:toetap:

It sounds like a fun time was had by all, I wish I could have made it, but I had other marching orders...date night, the last half of season one of LOST on DVD, and cooking mass quantities of homemade meatballs, and baked Ziti, for my folks, my brother and his girlfriend, and me and my navigator....three lbs of ziti, and I was even stretching that. :willy:

If you were on private property, with owners permission, then how much jurisdiction did deputy dog really have? I know it is a fine line when it comes to stuff like that and private property.

Hopefully there was mass quantities of $$$$'s raised for the kids and CHKD.

I'm not looking for pictures of the cars... we've all seen those before. I want to see pictures of cop ripping Tony a new ass or the look on the cop's face when Rex tears up a 100' stretch of pavement. Yea... I want to see those pictures. You all have camera phones I'm sure.

I was in the passenger seat for one of Rex's runs (not sure if it was THE one) ... man, that was better than sex (well ... not really ... but still an awesome ride). :hurray:
