Reminds me of some ancient movie history. When I as in high school Hal Needham and Burt Reynolds were filming The Longest Yard in Savannah and south GA. Burt stole a Citroen in the movie but Hal crashed it filming a scene outside my high school by mistake.
They edited it out in the movie but it was cool seeing how they filmed around the damage in some of the scenes before they dumped it in the Savannah River!
Holy Crap I just Googled "Longest Yard Citoen" and found the pic of the car just before they dumped it in the river!!!!

Hahahaha, no problem I remember hearing about the longest yard thing, pretty interesting, also saw the Transformer thing on fox.com, plus they were just at NASA last week and I got a pic up bumblebee last week, its a shame it went bye-bye

I don't think a closed movie set restricts a police vehicle running with lights to an emergency.
Not the smartest move on the guy's part but if he was going to a call and dispatch sent him through there it was a mistake.

I heard on the news that the officer in the SUV was monitoring a different channel and was unaware that there was a closed movie set in the area. I am sure he was one pissed off po-po though.
