Heck the second picture clearly looks likethe thieves loading Phil's car up. I'd forward that clue to the cops.

Hmmm...

Of the "Tri-Five" Chevies, I like the '57 least.

Hope it's recovered, though.

Weird. That's my favorite. 55 and 56 are so similar. 57 really hit the mark IMHO.

The 55 an 6 were very different if you look at them side by side, most notably the whole shape, and especially the wheel wells. I'm partial to the 56 for obvious reasons! :D :yesnod:

A Black/Red '57 vert, not even a Fuelly? Who gives a sh*t. Insurance Co cuts a check, world continues to turn.

Huh???

They aren't making any more of them, and each year some are lost to wrecks, unrecovered thefts, etc. The number of '57 anythings gets smaller each year.

No, not really.

:seasix:

Wow, that's actually a pretty cool idea. However, at $ 23K for a body shell and $ 180,000 for a turnkey car, I don't see those flying off the lot.

:cert:

How about this then: genuine '57 Chevys (not clones) are getting more rare.

Also, to be technical, those clones are all going to have new modern VIN numbers and new, modern years reflected on the title documents, unless somebody finds the vin tag for an actual '57 and builds a new car around the vin tag.

And now a word from your friends at Ford.

A buddy of mine built a "two lane blacktop" clone 55 a couple of years ago, man....is it scary! 502, tunnel ram with two holleys out through the hood, (which he rarely runs) sliding windows, the works. Very cool.

I Know you all will not believe this, but some 20 years ago, the head of finance/accounting/investments of the Sun Yun MOON church....yes he WAS a Moonie.....had a 56 NOMAD wagon he loved and worked on, along with a AMX and some other cars, he had a serious collection out on his farmette in West Va. just across the Md, border.....

which the Ford reference above brought to mind a strange CO WINKY DINK.....

the MOON church corporate office, was located next door to......

the MARS CANDY company, in Northern Va......

I want to say LEE Highway, but could be Arlington something too, only been ~20? years now....:rofl::seasix:

In 1962 my Mom bought a used 57 Chevy convertible...for $750. It was completely original and just about perfect except for worn carpet. Red exterior, red/silver/black interior, white soft top, AT, PS, PB, power top. I think it had about 70K miles on it, ran like a charm. She sold it 2 years later for $900.

if you google "two snaps in a circle", the relevant you tube vids come right to the top of the search. You might not want to do that though.

Is there anything or anyone who DOESN'T look gay to you idiots? Bunch of grade school short bus riders. The way y'all talk about it so much, I'm starting to wonder how crowded it is in your closet:smash:

I am usually the last one to say something "looks" gay, but that pose, is well, pretty gay.

(not that there's anything wrong with that)
