I came up on a Tundra full of teenagers. They were in the left lane driving 70 in a 75. I rode them 2 car lengths back. The right lane was open. This jack ass brake checks me. So I start around him on the right and he cuts me off. He swerves hard to do it and you can see the truck kinda rocking. I duck back into the left lane and cuts back in. I quickly go right and he does to and then nearly loses control. I was able to go past him on the left and flipped him off and laughed at him as I went by.

Done it dozens of times over the decades, and can't count the amount of Buicks and Mercurys I have passed on either side....I pass where/when I can....and try to not slow down, hate wasting gas....

Psshhhh, you guys should drive with all the wonderful drivers in the Philippines, P-I. Redlights, stop signs, and markings on the road are only for decorations. If there's room, the mofos will go there. Who needs roads when theres's ditches, sidewalks (in the big cities), and yards/fields. Ya'll don't have to worry about speeding in the city either. Each person makes the rules as they go so no one can go fast or risk being hurt, maimed, dieing or all three. :D Additionally, if a big truck happens to hit a pedestrian, you might just see him back up on them again. The reason is since he'd more than likely be at fault, the cost of a funeral is cheaper, often, than a hospital bill.

It really is funny to see many vehicles with swapped paint marks/dents on all four corners. The more crazy part is they have Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, and even an Aston Martin dealership in Manila. Where are they gonna drive those fine cars? The public streets are dangerous for a normal vehicle driving and then the streets themselves are terrible. At night, it's nothing to suddenly drive upon road construction without any markings or any type of safety devices.

Reminds me of NYC years ago, they used to have metal nerf bars on the front fenders of all cabs, used for gauging distance from other cars, I suppose, I understand they were forced to take them off, and that big heavy bumpers were outlawed too.....

I used to joke about some fool buying a new Merc in NYC and him pulling outta the stealership ramp, some cab seeing him slamming in front fender, spinning him around one way, and another cab spot him, hit him in the rear quarter to spin him around the other way, thereby instantly making a NYC native car outta it.....

the amount of burnt and abandoned/stolen/stripped cars on NYC streets is just ASStounding.....I was very impressed, seeing that for the first time years ago.....:leaving::kimblair:

That's why the Autobahn works. Because the Germans follow this simple rule. I don't care how fast you are going. If you aren't passing, your ass needs to be in the right lane. Period!

Some markers I have seen are the small, colored plastic ribbons that are pretty long. It's like magic ribbon that keeps the drivers out. :D I've also seen how they keep folks from driving on new cement is to put big rocks all over it. I suppose they have to let the cement set a minute or two before placing the big rocks. :D:D These are rocks big enough to carry by hand but way bigger than in drive ways. It's also pretty amazing to watch traffic going through the construction. It's like the Idiot Olympics. :rofl:
