a first.
was laid off from work about 3-4 weeks ago. been hell trying to get even an interview. i finally got a response from a company this am. i`m up against 5 people and i need to bring a copy of my credit report. never heard of this before. this job if i get it will be dispatching trucks. its not like i`m in financing or involved directly with folks money.

Yep. many companies check your credit report before hiring. Now, some don't even want to spend the money to check but have you bring a copy to save them time and money.

:iagree:

It shows responsibility.

When me and my dad did home rentals, we would always do a credit check. Bad credit, no rental.

:iagree: A lot of companies do this but it is pretty lame to make you get your own for them. Plus if they are going to rely on a document you give them...how secure is that?

i`ve never pulled my own report. i`m sure dealers have when i`ve bought new cars but i never personally done it. should be interesting i think.

They have to give you one free one per year, it's real easy.

The industry I work in has been checking credit scores for years. Not a new phenomena at all. The difference here is, THEY do the investigation. I am not required to provide it.

Probably want to see how responsible you are and the such.

Wait till they start looking at your social media content. :willy: :yesnod:

I agree having do it yourself is odd/lame. :yesnod:

well on the social media bs, i dont get too carried away with what i say or post, so that wont ever be a problem for me.
