Trying to teach myself to bake.

Blueberry Cobbler Recipe calls for placing mixture in 9x9 dish and baking 60-70 minutes @ 325.

I only had a 9x13 dish. Should I adjust cooking time, and if so, by how much?

It's in the oven, fast reply appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Add two weeks to ensure it's cooked thoroughly.

Raise temp to 500 degrees for 20 min and then 10 minutes on broil setting.:seasix:

:iagree: check in 50 min!

The cake will be thinner in the larger pan so it will be done sooner.

Yes tooth pick test!

Toothpick Test ???

the crust is thinner, so it will bake up a little faster. the filling will be gooey no matter what.

yep, toothpick comes out without batter on it, it's done. let cool, add ice cream, enjoy.

Toothpick Test ???

I'm no baker, but I'd think that only applies to cake. I would think you're just looking for good color on the crust.

It's going to be thinner, so it'll cook faster.

I'm just kinda insulted that you addressed this thread to the ladies! There's probably more excellent male cooks on this forum than female.:toetap:

......including ME! :slap:

Thanks for the helpful responses.

Took it out just shy of 45 minutes.

Came out great. 1/4 of it is already gone.

You'd think there would be more female professional chefs.
They say chefs are crazy and we all know that women have that market cornered. :D

You should go 200 degrees for 20 minutes, 500 degrees for 5, then throw some gas in there for good measure.

I'm sorry I'm too late to answer your cooking question. Some of us little ol' females had to work today.

FWIW--I would have rather been home baking.
