It's official...I'm nuts

Made my second trip up Mt. Fuji yesterday. Made the trip in just over 5 hours this time. 2 hours faster than my last trip. Weather was definitely better this go around.

When you climb Mt. Fuji you get stamps burned into your climbing stick to mark the different points along the mountain. A couple of co-workers had made the climb before but for some reason the station at the top was closed and they couldn't get their "top of the mountain" stamp. So in my infinite wisdom I said, "I'll carry your climbing sticks up with me and get the stamp at the top for you". Not my best idea. I was dead tired by the time I got to the top. :crazy:

I had planned to go back next Friday with one of other squadrons...I don't see that happening. :wflag:

You don't need any special training. Just have to be in halfway decent shape and make sure you take the right supplies. There are locals that are in their 60s that climb Fuji.
