... working at a pawn shop. Not what I hoped for with a college degree, but it'll do for now when I'm not helping my dad. The good thing is I should have some good stories to tell; today a girl got arrested in the store. She stole some stuff from the auto parts store across the street, drove over and tried to sell it to us. Pretty damn funny seeing the cops roll up outside and her having no idea what was about to happen.

Can't fix stupid I guess. :lol:

I'd like to congratulate you, but I'm gonna have to call a buddy of mine who's an expert on Pawn shop jobs and get his opinion first.:seasix:

Yeah I've been amazed already at most of our clientele. The sucky part is they have me working at a store in another town right now since they fired everyone that worked there. So I'm driving 50 miles a day for minimum wage. :slap:

This is not a dig, but rather a serious question. If the job is paying minimum wage, isn't there a fast food place or other entry level hiring business nearby? Maybe some place you could walk too? Driving 250 miles a week is gonna seriously cut into your earnings.

I hear ya. My first job out of college in '08 was at staples for 7.25/hr. I made more when I was still in high school. Things can only get better, and they will.
