My friends father died last Thursday and all of the local shelters are full. He is 8 years old and friendly, but I am pretty sure he needs some shots and grooming. If anyone can help, please contact me ASAP!

If you cannot find a home for him yourself, you should contact Rescue.

PA Boxers Inc. is a non-profit organization, who is dedicated to rehabilitating and providing a second chance to Boxers. (http://www.paboxers.com/home.html)

Good luck. Poor doggie.

The dog is located near Hazleton, Pa near where I80 and I81 intersect. I will see if I can pitch in for transport to make it not as long of a drive for someone if it would help. Thanks for eveyone's help. This has been a very difficult time for the family and this would be very comforting to them.

Yeah, that's about 30 mins away; know it well.
I'll check around with a few folks. Got a neighbor with a solo Boxer.

Of course, we've been thinking about getting one for the last year or so. One of our favorite breeds.

From the thread title I thought Mike Tyson hit rock bottom.
