That's about all it comes down to. At least for the ones that aren't completely out of touch with reality like face eater dude was.

Really sad when the story comes out and the motivation was little more than, "my girlfriend dumped me" or "life isn't fair". :issues:

Has the shooter been ID'd as a Tea Party member - and already been retracted; "ooops, we're sorry" ?If he is Muslim it they will call it terrorism, if he is Hispanic he will be used as an example of why we need tougher immigration, if he is White he will be called mentally ill.

The simple solution would be to not release the suspects name or agenda. Arrest, convict and punish.

I'm not entirely opposed to that strategy. It certainly removes a good majority of impetus.

The average joe doesn't know where College Station, TX is located.

But with football season right around the corner, Texas A&M is a heck of a lot more recognizable and headline grabbing.

SHIT, a Clay Co. Florida cop is a friend of mine for some ten+ years now, and he got a 'promotion' to serving warrants.....lovely....he does wear his vest, but when serving a warrant, I don't think that's enough....

Are you serious? I know a fair amount of people that grew up in other "civilized" countries that would disagree.
The US tends to garner a tremendous amount of international attention and our media is FIXATED on the negative; it's good business.

It never ceases to amaze me how much stock folks from from other countries put in our media. As though the news truly epitomizes what we are as a Nation.

I think that happens with other countries as well, but I think it can be worse here due to our "unbiased" media which is anything but.
