Does anyone know of a company that can convert a 35mm Film Negative into a high resolution Jpeg, for a REASONABLE cost?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for the info.

The negative belongs to a guy I know from a cruise nite I go to every week. He had a 8.5 X 11 print made from the negative at Walgreens and the print has 2 cars cut in half at the very ends of the print. I told him that those photo places don't have any idea how to "properly " crop a photo and that IF the full picture was on the negative I MIGHT be able to do something for him with it. He is supposed to get the negative to me next week and i'll see what is on it and go from there.

I can do it on my scanner.

Pretty easy.

I would recommend against a .jpg though.

Bitmap, TIFF or other lossless image format would be better, IMHO.

Along these same lines, how about 35mm color slides to digital? I have some really nice ones I would like to digitize.

For what places charge to scan them in, you'd be better getting a negative scanner off eBay and doing it yourself.
