Brother-in law passed, keep us in your prayers

My brother-in-law Alex Scarborough (Theresa's baby brother) died yesterday evening around 8:30 PM in Altanta. He was 39.

Alex underwent surgery Wed. morning to remove a brain tumor. The doctors revived him three times in post-op, but he was unable to recover.

Theresa is devastated, but at least she was able to see him one more time before the end came.

Please keep us in your prayers during these difficult times. Arrangements are pending, but we will all be driving down to Macon, Ga. soon for his funeral and internment. I'll keep you posted.

I teared up reading this, not because of my loss many years ago, but because I know the pain Theresa and all of you are going through. Thanks, all. Your prayers and expressions of sympathy are a blessing to us. Such good friends! We're still numb and experiencing the normal gamut of emotions during the grief process.

Theresa got a wonderful memorial stepstone from her job Thurs. even though she's only been there a few months. Got the rest of the week off with pay, as well.

We got flowers from our church, too. And the phone has been ringing steadily with calls of support. Fortunately, I'm off until Aug. 20th, so I'm here to be supportive of my wife full-time,too. Very important.

Made it back safely to Louisville from Macon on Sunday afternoon. Heading out the door now to new job at Fort Knox.

Thanks again to all of you for your prayers and thoughts. It means a lot to us. It's a difficult time, but we got to see friends and family we hadn't seen in a while. Funny how a funeral always turns into a family reunion. We'll soldier on and mantain. :angel:
