what numb-nuts ordered this ??? "First, lets just play patty-cake with them..."

an elite squad of federal agents fired bean bags -- not bullets
The Justice Department on Monday unsealed an indictment charging five individuals allegedly involved in Border Patrol agent Brian Terry's death, and announced a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to the arrest of those suspects still at large.

For the first time, federal officials also revealed that Terry and an elite squad of federal agents initially fired bean bags -- not bullets -- at a heavily armed drug cartel crew in the mountains south of Tucson in December 2011. During the exchange, Terry was shot and killed.

The 11-count indictment, originally handed up by a grand jury in November 2011, implicates five defendants in the killing. A sixth suspect has also been charged in a related incident.

The two men in custody are Manuel Osario Arellanes -- who was wounded in the foot the night of the firefight -- and his brother Rito. Rito, who was arrested two nights before the Terry shooting, allegedly helped provide weapons to the criminal gang used in the shooting. All six men named in the indictment are either related or friends.

The other four are believed to be hiding out in Mexico, and the U.S. is now offering a reward of up to $1 million for information leading to their arrest.

The names of the four suspects were revealed Monday, and their pictures released, to the public. Police in the U.S. and in Mexico are cooperating and under intense pressure to find them.

Actually, they were free trade capitalists, which would make them more Republican or Libertarian than Democrat.

That's got to be a head shaker and a helpless feeling............."Oh wait a minute, have to fire rubber bullets first!" Morale must be at an all time low within these agencies.

IIRC, there was an article last week about how one agency was instructed to run away if confronted.

Yup...here it is: Border Patrol union blasts Homeland Security instructions to 'run away' and 'hide' from gunmen | Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/06/29/border-patrol-union-claims-homeland-security-safety-course-promotes/)

Actually, that is incorrect. That info was put up by Brandon Judd, a right wing loon that works for the border patorl union on his own web site, not the web site run by the border patrol. See here - Local 2544 - Tucson Arizona (http://www.local2544.org/)

The training was for office personnel, not armed agents.

"07-03-12 Since this information was posted and after media scrutiny the agency has offered to revise and clarify this training. Despite claims to the contrary, the training was clearly mandated for all Border Patrol agents. We look forward to seeing the revised training. We see no reason agents would need this training in the first place, even with clarification. It is a complete waste of an agent's time."

From Local 2544. Ths site says this:

Well if it was in a union newsletter, it must be true, right?

I have no idea. I just wanted to be fair after JoeCooool accused them of being right-wing loons. The seemed to take a honest, open approach to criticism of the alleged report. Frankly, I wouldn't expect much honesty from the "official" Border Patrol site; after all, they can be directed by the current administration.

The right thinks that Obama, Biden, and Pelosi are left-wing loons. The left thinks that Romney, Boehner, and Ron Paul are right-wing loons. Different people have different political beliefs...but that doesn't make them "loons". Is anyone who disagrees with your poplitics a loon?

Enough with the facts! You're ruining our resident libretards day!

We should treat him like the left wing ****tards treated mrs Pitt! See how he'd like to be treated like his kind treats others.

He always attacks the source and when he tries to provide opposing "facts" he's always wrong. that or he takes other peoples efforts and passes them off as his own like a good lib****tard always does.

Border patrol isn't allowed to be armed when in the office? They forcing this on the FBI and police too? Politicians think they can't be trusted not to kill each other?

The Ft. Hood shootings taught us civilians that we don't trust our on base soldiers to carry guns, either. We feel safer just letting turncoat traitors gun them down at will, unarmed. :sadangel:

If the memo stated deadly force as a last resort, that would imply that these "office workers" are sworn federal agents, not secretaries
