I'm over Ken Block.

I would much rather go dig up some WRC footage on youtube and watch that.

No Joke, but driving like that is easy for any real race driver....

The idea is to go forward.. not sideways :yesnod:

How in the hell were they able to close down all of those streets for such a long period ('cause you know he did it a couple of times)?

Got some pretty good air on that one jump.

It's edited. They probably filmed a couple sections a day over a week or two in the early morning hours on weekends (no commuter traffic). Then once they had everything they put it all together.

There's a man whose 5 senses work very well together.

The jump where he is flying sideways in the car is pretty cool. Also, towards the end, did anyone catch the different tire diameters on all 4 corners? I can only assume that these are optimized for the track he is on for the stunts...

As has been said, it was filmed over a few days.

Let's not forget, this is the same city that wouldn't allow the Marines to use their city as a backdrop for a recruitment video...but they'll shut down streets and bridges for this. Typical liberal bullshit.

Actually that drive is just about as exciting if the streets are not blocked off and you are trying to dodge the usual idiots in traffic around you. After you've met that challenge, for a real thrill try and find a parking space that doesn't cost $30 a day.:leaving:

For San Diego Comic-Con, New Line Cinema has released a very nice piece of promotional art for An Unexpected Journey, the the first half of Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit. The scroll gives us a glimpse at 10 or so integral scenes in the first half of the story, including a peek at Beorn, the bear-man, in bear form...
