Asking for prayers for a LEO

A friend of mine is a Deputy for the Baker County FL sheriffs department. He is a friend of the sheriff and an important member of the team. A very well liked young man in our county. Gerald Ray Rhoden has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.

The doctors in Jacksonville told him that if untreated, he will have a year, if treated, maybe five years. The doctor he is going to for the surgery is a highly regarded surgeon at Duck Medical Center. He told Gerald Ray to not pay any attention to what they said, that no one but God knows when one will die.

He went to Duke Medical Center Saturday and they are doing surgery this morning.

Another man that he grew up with had the same tumor and he went to Duke is cancer free now. I know Gerald Ray will be too.

Your prayers for Gerald Ray and the physicians and staff are very much appreciated.

Surgery was performed but I have not talked to anyone who has talked to the surgeon except for him to say "I did what I planned on doing". He was to talk to family later, have not heard.

This! from the very beginning, it's important to realize that death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. (Proverbs 18:21).

Our confession will mature to become our pocession. Remember, all the worlds and everything in them were created by words (Hebrew 11:3). We therefore have to confess the Word of God. We have to speak what God says, not what our feeling say. Not what the doctors think. What God says.

We have the power to "root out every planting that is not of God" Mathew 15:13

Let's agree, then, with God’s Word as we confess, declare and pray the following scriptures with Brother Gerald Ray:-

1. Matthew 15:13 “…Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be
rooted up.”

2. Psalms 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall
never suffer the righteous to be moved.

3. Psalms 118:17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD

4. Matthew 21:21 “Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye
have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.”

5. 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in
health, even as thy soul prospereth.

6. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue
that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the
servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

7. Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and
over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

8. Mark 11:25-26 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any:
that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.

9. 1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

10. Matthew 8:16-17 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were
possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.

After Surgery, Gerald Ray was not waking up quick enough. He started shaking as if maybe he was having a seizure so to be careful, they gave him anesthesia to put him back to sleep. While under, he could listen to some commands and squeeze the hand.

Today he woke up and began answering questions. Looks like a good recovery so far. I will let you know.
