Best Buy Sticking With Turnaround Plan
Best Buy's interim CEO told shareholders Thursday that the retailer plans to stick with its turnaround plan, and will put greater emphasis on training of employees, according to a Bloomberg News account of the meeting.
Mike Mikan told shareholders that the training plan is to help employees combat the showrooming effect.
The turnaround plan, which included closing 50 stores, was put into place by former CEO Brian Dunn before his resignation, and continued by Mikan.
