Dads soon to be new toy

Well the day before Fathers Day my dad found a 1938 Chevy Master Deluxe on craigslist. He went to see it and I guess he fell in love with and mom told him he better buy it. So he put a deposit on it today and I went out and took a few pics.

He should have it by next weekend and I can get better pictures. It has the original 6cyl and 3 speed. It has been converted to a 12 volt system and starts up and purrs like a kitten. The only thing that really needs done is the interior, it's completely original. It's not perfect but it's a good driver car and should be fun to put around in.

I'm not exactly sure what this guy did for a living...I know that he is a Pastor now. But he has 17 cars in his collection. He is selling a few...trying to downsize a bit. Only ones I have are from his ad...he has a cover over the front seat...I'll get more when we actually get the car.

The car also comes with the original 16"wheels/tires...he put the 15"rallys on there because he liked the lowered stance it gave the car.

My dad is 62...I know they had some older Fords than that on the farm...I don't think he has any personal connection with this style of car...just one of those types of cars he has always loved. Whenever we hit a car show he always loved that style of cars.
