61 AF points. The focusing is vastly improved over the original 5D, but I'll say this; The menu's are so ridiculously complicated I'm not sure WHAT to think of it yet.

I have NEVER EVER let a camera select my focus point. That's usually a problems nobody needs solved. I set up this camera to use all 61 focusing points, adjustable with the joystick on the back. It took 45 minutes. Inexcusible Canon. :issues: In other words, I will pick my focus points thank you very much. :D

Having said this, low light focusing is phenomenal. :cert: It also grabs focus on low contrast subjects the original 5D would have hunted for and probably NEVER locked onto. (Easily resolved however: Manual focus!)

So far, so good with this new camera.
