View Full Version : Fecking racoon!!!
I've had my new Lexus GS for 3 weeks and on my way to an "establishment" last night a damn racoon ran out in front of me and I whacked it. Busted up the inner fender liner, the windshield washer solvent tank, bent the bumper back a bit which in turn pulled it away from the fender and slightly cracked the bottom of the bumper. Hopefully I can get that fixed without major paint work. It drove fine so it doesn't seem there's any suspension damage. It's at the dealer now so hopefully they can fix it pretty easily. Pizzes me off...that I didn't get to the "establishment".

I hate feckin' raccoons! They come into my workshop at night and open every cabinet door and drawer. If I happen to surprise them (and me) they almost knock me down running out. They're not afraid of anything or anyone--I guess I wouldn't be either if I fought like a had 100 razor blades in each paw.
A 'coon will open your house door, raid your refrigerator, and watch a movie on your TV!
Sorry about your car. :sadangel:

That ain't gonna do'er.
My bird dog (Peaches was always more interested in four legged furry things) cornered one in a hollow stump once, was nose to nose and wouldn't call off. Ended up putting a dozen 9 mm into it before the situation was resolved. Course that only took all of 2 seconds once I figured out what was happening... I might have been a tad excited about protecting my stupid dog :leaving:

It's a wonder I never did. Gunfire didn't phase that dog. I used to shoot squirrels as she was chasing hot on their tail. Could get her to hesitate a half step by yelling her name to get a shot off. Sounded like PEACH-BOOM-PEACH-BOOM-PEACH-BOOM

Sounds like you need to find a new bar to drink at. Your current one seems to have some unsavory regulars.

Didn't call insurance. I went into the dealer after getting out of service to talk to my friend who I bought the car from (I've known her since H.S.) and when I was leaving I realized I left my garage door opener in the car. They were already working on it and were able to pop the bumper back in where it pulled away. There was a tiny area where it looked a little bubbled. Hopefully the can take care of that and I can get the small crack filled and touched up on the cheap.
$479.00 and counting. Have to take it to the body shop still. :cuss:

Our Golden keeps a respectful distance when he sees a racoon. He's never messed with one, but he's not very brave, and is very cautious of any animal that won't run when sees them and barks. Smart dog actually.
The deer back in the field have learned this about him. Now, he barks... and they just look at him.
