After watching the ALMS web broadcast, I do not think I will be able to watch a normal televised race again. They showed all four classes as each battled for the respective class win. It was not and LMP show with a few shots of GT or GTC. They knew exactly when to switch from one class to another so we did not miss any of the action. Also another big point was no commercials. I can just imagine what CBS Sports will do to it.

Now if you have not heard the results or watched the live broadcast and you plan on watching the CBS version next weekend stop reading.

It was a classic GT battle from the beginning. Corvette Racing qualified 3rd and 4th behind the two Ferrari's of Rici Competizione and behind the Corvette's were the BMW's of Rahal Letterman. The Ferrari's were the class of the field and in my opinion need to have some weight added to them for the next race at Road America or a smaller air restrictor. The Flying Lizard Porsche had a bad qualifying run and started 9th.

Well the Corvette's were up for the fight this week with the 34 car showing the way for the #3 car. As luck would have it the #3 car suffered overheating problems and was retired from the race leaving the 4 car to fight the battle.

Olivier Beretta drove the first stint and did a great job. Oliver Gavin took over and continued the battle with the BMW's and finally over took them for the lead. The Ferrari driven by Jaime Melo suffered a fuel problem and fell off the pace. However he switched to the reserve and was back into in no time. At the final pit stop Corvette elected to change all four tires while the Ferrari (now in the lead) changed just two. Corvette came out behind the BMW's and the Ferrari. Oliver Gavin (Ollie) showed why he is one of the team top drivers. He fought his way past the BMW's and did it in an extremely clean fashion. He then caught the Ferrari and the two battled until the end with the Ferrari winning by just over a half second and the Corvette in second. A nice podium finish for Corvette Racing
