Excuses, excuses.

They were practicing injured personnel extractions.

Better than the last pic she sent me from the airshow...on a golf cart. She was manning the medical tent...inside of which they were playing cards. She said she was going to go outside and push someone down just to have something to do/someone to treat. Damn kids.

Hell, I like the way she thinks. That's along the line of things I've said/overheard for many years while in ATOC, Air Terminal Ops Center, the nerve center for air cargo/personnel movement. :D:seasix:

She's quite a little comedian. I texted her earlier and said, "Guess what I did today?" She answered with, "Idk. Sneezed too hard and peed your pants...?!?!"

Wtf...??? Uh, no. :toetap:

I never know what off the wall shit is coming. The "random text of that day" a few days ago was: It just occurred to me. Orange soda that has gone flat is just koolaid.

Flyin' airplanes!! If there is ever an aircraft in the military inventory that you want to see fly, this is the place to be. Everyone comes here to play. It is sort of a second home for my unit as we are usually here every month for one thing or another.:seasix:

Dealing with military aircrews (aka. Zipper Suited Sun Gods) a lot will teach you two things:

1. Sarcasm

2. Irony

:lol:Fortunately, the crew we have is pretty good. One day, and this was several years ago, I was on headset for engine start. I tell them I'm up, someone acknowledges, and then one of them says, "Is this ground", I told 'em nope, this is the little voice inside your head!!! Who the hell did you think it was?:D

In all seriousness, she's an awesome kid. As you can probably tell, I could not be any prouder.

I hear people talk about how their kids are doing nothing, getting pregnant or getting other people pregnant...then still living at home or expecting their parent(s) to support them. No jobs, not going to school, no motivation at all. I wonder what the hell these parents were doing when it was time to teach their kids a good work ethic, a sense of pride and self sufficiency.

One woman I talk to is constantly complaining about her kids. She's no prize herself in the responsibility department, so I shouldn't be surprised, but still... Constantly complaining about her kids...they have absolutely no direction.

I finally asked her (after hearing her complain about her awful life and her rotten kids for the 1000th time) what she was doing about it. What exactly was she doing to make a change? Because sitting around bitching about it was a wasted effort. She had no answer. Seems its easier to complain about it and be a "victim" than to actually do something about it.

She doesn't complain to me anymore, which is fine. It's one thing to make mistakes. We do it and our kids will surely do it. But I have no sympathy for someone that is unwilling to better themselves (lead by example) or point their own children is a direction that is constructive.

Yep, it happens way too fast. Our four daughters (24, 26, 31 & 32) are all grown and off on their own.
Everyone of them turned out great (thanks to a tremendous Mom!).
All educated, career working, productive members of society that I'm extremely proud of (and they shoot and hunt with Dad :D)

Sounds like that woman gave ZERO direction to her spawn.
Sometimes the fruit doesn't fall far from the proverbial tree :slap:

That's excellent!!! :yesnod:

Funny how that works. Kids thrive when you teach them right from wrong and how to do well. We should patent it...some people will actually think its a new idea. ;) We'll be rich!!!
