Go out to the garage to grab a can of Coke. As im grabbing it im distracted by my five year old asking me something.. As im talking to her i crack a can and mix it with my rum put the can back on the shelf and close the fridge all while carrying a conversation with her.

Purple Haze is made in Louisiana. Tasty stuff, although I prefer their Turbo Dog. Have a few of those, they will sit you down and give you a good talking to.

Back in HS we used to make a thing called Elixir. It was really simple and actually disgustingly good, even the girls liked it and you could not taste the alcohol.

1 big can Hawaiian punch
1 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew.
1 liter 101 proof Southern Comfort.
1 bag of ice

Mix in a cooler, enjoy.

I don't like any of the ingredients by themselves, but together they worked somehow. Another interesting aspect of it we found was that you could hold a glass of Elixir and a beer, put a straw in each one, and sip both. The combination tasted like water. It was unexpected.

In college, we used to mix E&J Brandy with Big Red Soft Drink. We called it Erk & Jerk. :shots:

Oh, and there's another one we called Yucca. Yucca is dangerous. Why? Because you'll have to make a 2nd batch, and after that a 3rd batch. I don't know why, but it always happens and the 3rd batch is always always always a mistake. Our saying goes "Nothing good has ever come from Yucca."

What is it?

1 gallon sun tea jar, packed with ice.
1 bottle of tequila. Jose Cuervo is perfectly fine, use the clear style.
4 lemons, cut in half. Use all the lemon, juice plus the hulls.
1 cup sugar.

Seal tightly, wrap in a towel. Shake Yucca for about 30 minutes to an hour. Pass it around, it's great when you're sitting around a camp fire. When it's done it will be like a slushy. Watch out for brain freeze.

WARNING! Make sure you have enough ingredients for several batches because the last thing in the world you want to do is find yourself driving around in a dry county at 1 AM trying to find ingredients for a third batch. (surprisingly, we actually succeeded in that venture...)
