Where exactly in ATL we talking?

We'll pick a venue once interest is determined and we see who wants to come and where they are traveling from.

If its only me Bart and Steve we can just get a handle of Makers and get shitty on my deck. If several people show interest its a different story.

When you set a date, post it up. I have contracts in Atlanta and may be able to visit some clients. :D A month may be short notice for them, as they're a smaller group, but you never know.

My schedule is so all over the place right now, it would have to be closer to the event before I could even think about it. But then again, you know what my job is, so every day is an adventure.

I've managed in 3 hours 45 minutes a number of times. Since my parents are down here, I make the drive 6-7 times a year. Hell, I'm in ATL now. :drivingskid:

I ask because I've done both types; each has its own merits.

Braves game?? I'm into the idea

I'm always up for a baseball game. Hell im going to two Yankees games next week and then a Cubs game the 5th of July.

Heres the problem with baseball games though. I'm not paying for a dozen or whatever tickets in advance just for people to bail last minute and me to be out money. I would think we would want tickets seated together and for a good size group to get decent tickets the day of on a weekend can be troublesome as well. We can get em but they may not be the best. Thats not a problem for me as i go to plenty of games but for people that dont go regularly they may want better tix We would all have to agree on a pricepoint. Then there is the fact that with people traveling the time of the game could be a problem. Saturday games are almost always at 4pm. That means the game will end at 8 pm. Sunday's tend to be at 1. Ideally if we were to do a game i personally would want to meet up offsite so we can pull in together and park together and tailgate and bullshit for a coulle hours before hand. Btw parking at ballgames sucks so be warned.

Let me know what you guys might want to do.

I'd be up for it depending on the date. Between work and everything we have going on with the wedding coming up, my free time on nights and weekends is almost non-existent.

Last time I was in ATL,there was a club doing a charity for our soldiers ,we had about 50 Vettes make a trip from ATL to Fort Benning in Columbus,we had a Ga. state patrol escort down I-85 doing about 120 mph. We had lunch there and toured the Military museum. Awesome day.

So is the concesus you guys would want to do it around a ball game?

If so then fine, but what day would be of more interest. A Saturday 4PM game or a Sunday 1PM game? :waiting:

Keep in mind i think a small tailgate would be ideal for us to BS before the game.

Its a Charlotte thing as well. I was in Atlanta for a conference back in 2002. I found it to be a very unfriendly city. My wife & I got together with BK & his wife by riding the transit to some neighborhood north of the city. It was a nice area with plenty of shops & restaurants. After we returned back to the center of the city we had an unpleasant incident. I swore I'd never go back. I'm sure Mark lives in a nice part of town & that y'all will have a good time. Make sure & take plenty of pictures. :cert:

I was going to recommend a dirt track car race. But, I don't think people would like driving their Corvette or nice car to one of those tracks. They are also a good distance from downtown ATL. There is a cruise night every third w/e in Canton. It is a long way from downtown ATL. though.

Unless its a car type event i would advise everyone to leave there nice car home.
