Did my best to represent the C4...

In hind sight, I wish I had put the good rubber on it, but I am getting ready to go to Road Atlanta and didn't want to use up the 1 good set of tires I have so I threw on a set of 5 year old Kuhmos and had at it.

This was the first run. I hadn't learned the layout yet and ended up completely blowing the last gate. The launch was beyond terrible and I actually had to get out of the gas with some wheel hop. By the last run, I was launching a lot better (I had NEVER launched the car from a stop before) and doing a much better job of keeping the revs up.

I have no idea what happened with the timing but what felt like was by FAR my fastest run came back almost 5 seconds slow :shrug:. In my head, it was a fast enough run to take the top spot but in the end, what prints out is what counts. Maybe I broke the beam early... who knows. In the end, I think it's safe to say that the C4 held it's own with the big boys. Officially I ended up a half second off of the top spot.

I made that run in 2nd gear just trying (and failing) to make it through without missing a gate. The rest of them were made at about 7,000 RPM in 1st gear. I wish I could have heard what those sounded like.

It was really good from top to bottom. There are a couple of different threads with some pics, etc over in OT. Thanks to work I was only able to make Thursday and Saturday. I wish I had been able to spend some more time getting to know folks.

I can't argue at all with the overchicked comment. I think that applies to pretty much every one of us. It was definitely nice to meet you as well and finally start putting some faces to the names!
