DFW Airport- Where to park???

What is a good place to park @ DFW? Parking spot? Park and Fly?

Probably at my house. I'm only 8 hours away.

The Parking Spot. Take the shuttle - south of 183 on Valley View. Give it 20-30 minutes extra, but its cheaper than the airport and a lot less hassle.

Last time I went OOT for an extended time I did that and it was quick and easy. I've heard some recent horror stories about the parking lots in the airport being full and folks cutting it really close to missing flights because of trying to find a place on the grounds and waiting on the busses.

And - stay South - there's all sorts of ridiculously bad construction at the north entrance in Grapevine.

Something else to think about - every time I've left a car at BNA for even a day or two when I come back to the car it's coated in a thin layer of dust, dirt... and jet fuel residue, as far as I can tell. Kerosene or diesel or similar...

Since I live just 10 minutes from BNA I have been using taxis to go back and forth, so I don't have to expose my cars to that crap.

North remote (inside airport) has some covered spaces. Parking spot is good choice outside the airport.
