Just bought a whole whack of electronic equipment for my friends place.
Aboot $5k worth including:

Paradigm subwoofer $1100
JBL Studio Center and surrounds $1155
Pioneer Elite SC-55 receiver $1200
Oppo BDP- $500
UPS/Voltage regulator $225
Yamaha 5 disc cd player $450

All this to go with his 60" Panasonic 3d Plasma that he bought.
Hopefully I will install it all and calibrate the sound and his tv next weekend.
I will give the equipment 4 weeks until his little kids total it.

Not high end, but not low end either. It will work nicely in his basement family room.
