Hey has anyone bought or tried the new LED TV's?? I am thinking of taking the plunge and getting one tomorrow but am on the fence. We have a 65 inch rear projection TV and the largest LED is only 55.
Decisions.

My sister just bought one and the colors are much more vibrant and deep than my projection 1080p. I'd have got one if it wasn't so pricey for a 50+ inch one, though it's worth it IMO.

I was looking at one of the new Vizio LED 55's last night Leo. Awesome pic, I may have to go back this weekend

Buddy of mine just got a 52" Samsung (maybe 50"). The colors on it are much deeper than my 7 series 52" Samsung, so I'd say take the plunge!

Thinking hard, Crutchfield has the one I want with free shipping and a 19 inch TV for less than others I've seen.

I'm waiting until my rear pojection takes a dump, then I'll upgrade.

I have a 61" Samsung LCD DLP rear projection and it's 2 years old and I'm already getting stuck/dead pixels. Good thing I got the 4yr warranty cause Samsung sucks balls when it comes to fixing the issue.

That being said, I am probably buying a new 55" LED Samsung next week.....Love the true black that you can get with the LED's.

If you have the setup available take a look at the front projector setups. Sanyo makes a very good projector for around $1k. I have a 110" 1080 setup that is incredible.

True, but how much are the bulbs... $$$$ :ack: That's the expensive part of projectors, and they don't last all that long unless it's in a home theater setup where it's only used 4 hours a week

:confused5: Sharp makes an LED TV at 80". They also have a knock out 70" 3D.

I have a 61" Sammy DLP in my basement but it's 8 years old. I bought a 55" Sammy DLP at the same time for my family room and replaced it 9 months ago with a 55" Sammy LED. Unbelievable improvement in picture. The blacks are much darker and the colors really pop.

Samsung makes 60" & 65" LED's.

I was at BB yesterday looking at a Vizio that uses passive glasses for 3D and it was the best 3D I've seen.

I didn't notice the names and thought something was up.
Not to mention LED's have been around a few years now.

We bought our son a 32" LED Vizio for christmas.
Darn thing is 1.5' thick.
Picture seems to be as good as our Samsung 120hz LCD, and it's like 20% the price. Technology is advancing quite nicely in the TV spectrum.

1.5' thick!!!!! That's 18 inches, ya know. I never saw a TV 18" thick other than my old Mitsubishi 65" projection.

AFAIK the only difference is that LED's are brighter.

Personally Plasma is the best way to go for your main TV if your into watching sports. The refresh rate is far superior to LCD and LED.
