My son, CO of an Army Blackhawk unit, recently returned from the sandbox, in appreciation for Dad stepping up to the plate looking out for his family, gave me this Custom II 45 acp Kimber last night, serial # ANGRY005, his is ANGRY006, his call sign over there. No firing this one, have others for that. He's no dummie, he'll get it back when I depart this world. :D

What is the signifigance of the Maryland flag on the grip? Do you live in Maryland, or is it for the Baltimore Ravens?

It's a MDARNG AVN unit (2-224 AVN) within the 29th ID. They were Ravens before the football team was around, they liked the team's logo, they incorporated it into the unit logo.

I'm not one for a flesh colored firearm, however this one is very tastefully done, and the sentimental value is priceless......What a great gift to be bestowed on dad. The grips are awesome, and the engraving will stay in the family forever....Now that's respect.....:seasix:
Be proud of your spawn...:USA:

It's actually kind of a desert tan, the color on my digital camera may be off some, it's old. Thanks for your nice words as well as the other responders. :seasix:

Got to watch him land the UH60 today at an Armed Forces show at APG.

Thread coming later.

I'm trying to figure out how you got what certainly appears to be a custom serial number on a production gun????

They were purchased through a licensed dealer.
