80's has a bad rap, but in reality it drove guitar. Eddie started it in the late 70's and 80's bands ran with it. Many good guitarist came of it, so post your fav's.

To start:

Vito Bratta

These two were not underrated NeedSpeed. Both were in HUGE bands and got many accolades for their playing.

Both have somewhat dropped off the edge of the earth. Too bad , I really liked Vito's playing. Very melodic soloing.

Nuno is great too, but totally different is style from Bratta.

I remember seeing Extreme and Jackyl in Kansas City in the early 90's. Extreme was the headliner and frankly Jackyl was much better.

True, Nuno more so. There's a lot of people, well guys anyway, that would be emabarassed to admit they liked a band like White Lion

The 60's & 70's created that guitar driven rock and 80's bands just ran with it, and while there were a lot of big bands during that time I think many got lost in the glam part of it.

But I was a little drunk and being nostalgic when I posted :leaving:

Mick Mars was way underrated. So was Robin Crosby.

I thought WL Radar Love was really good. Some of the other songs here kinda faggish however.

Mick Mars? Really? He fit his band well but taking just his guitar skills? No Mas. :D
