One guys rant in a gun forum, kinda made me chuckle..
"So Sick of self Defence"
"I can't be the only one who has noticed this. Why is it that whenever someone wants to discuss a specific caliber, firearm, barrel length, configuration, finish or anything else, some knuckle-head always needs to put his two cents in about self defense/bear defense/zombie shooting etc? Is it that hard to stay on topic? It goes like this. Rant on.
OP: "I'm looking at getting a new small game revolver. I've been looking at 22 magnums, but wonder about the .327. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've heard good things about the accuracy, and I can use .32 H&R's and .32 Longs too! Any thoughts?
Responder 1: "The .40 is much better. They make great hollow points and you can get like 15 in the magazine!" Responder 2: "He said REVOLVER. OP, you need a 44 Magnum. You'd hate to run into a bear while hunting with a 22."
OP: "I live in Florida, we don't have bears where I live and I'm asking about small game hunting. Does anyone have any experience with the .327? Who owns one and what do you think?"
Responder 2 (again): "But you have alligators in Florida. You might want more than a .32 when you're out and about." Responder 4: "I think the .327 is an answer without a question. What can it do that a .357 can't?" Responder 5: "+1 for the .40. My (insert wonder-gun here) killed a polar bear that was fighting an elephant." Responder 6: "Have you thought about how hard it would be to conceal? Does it have good SD ammo? Responder 7: "Where will you get ammo when the SHTF? I only shoot NATO or Police calibers."
OP: "I give up."
Rant off.
Thank god the forum I frequent isn't like that!!
