I was about to suggest an assignment for tonight on that very subject. If the clouds ever move out maybe I can get a couple.

No chance here. The storms just keep growing. Now it's flooding in places. Probably going to storm for at least 2 more hours.

The clouds moved in about 1/2 hour before moonrise....

Best I could do with the 18-135. Tough thing to actually photograph. It was sooo bright, moves pretty quickly, and at night. This was taken when it was first rising. It really didn't look all that big, just super bright to me.

Stepped outside with the camera last night, all ready to take a few moon shots. I was really hoping for a good shot through some of the pine trees in the front yard. Damned storm clouds blocked any chance of pictures. So I went inside and drank.........and watched the game.:beerfunnel:

We had those high thin clouds after the storms clouds moved on. Not a good night for shooting the moon.
