I had some big projects this spring and have just finished them with lots of help from friends. My back porch had some awful, steep, ugly steps going down to the ground and then a big hill down to my dock steps. I tore that down and put a three level deck there. Here are some photos:

Got to add some clips to the lighting

I have been wanting to make wine for a while now and have begun. I built me a cellar/wine making area in my crawl space which is high enough to stand in. The temperature there seems to be ideal for wine. I also built a deck at the door.

I built the wine racks and an insulated box to maintain a more constant temperature. The blue barrel is for keeping the wine warm during fermenting. I have about 260 bottles in the racks (no wine in them yet)

I have one carboy of chardonnay ageing and will start a red zinfadel today along with 5 gallons of strawberry wine.

The view from my winery (Jade Lake Vineyards) deck. The chair was one I found at the land fill. I was not sure whether to take it or not but the man driving the tractors told me they had an excellent return policy, no questions asked.

I am going to sit here and listen to my wine gurgle.

It's like a baby crib, so they can't get their heads through/caught/fall/hurt.....

so to double up on them.... PIA, I know, and I didn't even think of it either....

Many use a 2x4 as a spacer, as they are 3-1/2" wide.

Don't want little ones falling thru or getting their noggins stuck.

Yeah, I know that it is not code. I haven't had the opportunity to go get a permit yet! I will be very watchful in the unlikely occasion of a child visit. I am just pulling your string!

How'd you do that anyway?
I tried a double post, and it rejected me, saying duplicate post within 5 minutes.

These stairs are awesome. But, for the PC crowd, they are not handicap friendly. LOL

That deck is really sharp! What a view! And if only I had a basement, I'd love to make wine!

Beats me but it has been happening a lot lately, I usually go back and delete one.
