In the good old days when the only thing under the hood WAS the engine!
Too bad it's a Dodge, but still pretty nice.

That's a cool car, I really like the forward slant windows on the 72.

Either that car spent most its life in another region, ie texas or california, or the rust has been covered up.

I could do without all the crap added to it. Every B-body I looked at has been made tacky with the addition of every stripe, pin and spoiler you can slap on it. Dump that stupid wing, the cheesy chin spoiler, the hood pins, the strobe stripe and leave just the power bulge hood, and it would look killer. For some unknown reason, people feel the need to J.C. Whitney-ify musclecars.

I'm just not a fan of older engine swaps. (68 into a 72)
Something always isn't right.

Ahhh.....Well, If it's tight and smooth, I wouldn't care.
It's a beater. Take it for what it is, and beat the piss out of it. It's a car that you can actually wrench too....

True that, but I bet for 22K you could get one up on it's feet.
This is why I do like 'em:
The 1971-74 Chargers were campaigned in NASCAR, with Buddy Baker, Bobby Issac, Dave Marcis, and Richard Petty scoring several wins. Richard Petty won 25 races with this body style bewtween 1972 and 1977 (NASCAR allowed the Chargers to run a few years longer than normal, as Chrysler did not have anything else to replace it). It is Richard Petty's self proclaimed favorite car that he ran in his career.
