I passed my Business calc final this morning. Easily the hardest class I have taken thus far. I just received the notification for my grade. I was scared shitless this morning during the test. Now the weight is lifited :dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

The real question is, if he drinks 1/2 his beer every sip, will he ever finish?

You passed? With what grade?
Calculus was the hardest for me, as well. I made A's in a few, C's in others... and, well, let's just say that as far as Integral Calculus is concerned, "D" stands for "Don't have to take it again."

He will be close enough to finished for all practical purposes after 10 sips. :hurray:

If you round to the smallest amount of beer found in a bottle, the drop. And if he considers the cosign of something in there, yup i'm sure he'll get to the bottom rather quickly...perhaps the bottom of a whole case if he's not careful.

I am passing with a solid C! I knew what I was capable for this class and I hit my goal. This class was constantly challenging. I amaze myself each semester with the amount of time that I have to study. I was in tutoring 3 times a week and the library the rest of the time. This class is tough, for me at least. I am glad it's over. No more integration, implishit, derivatives (long way) or any of the properties that relate to it

I thought you had an EE degree? Calculus is easy compared to some of the EE stuff, and it's basic to a whole bunch of other classes like physics, thermo, dynamics, etc.

I do.
And, I will agree with you. The jr and sr level engineering courses were tougher than calc.
The problem was one of maturity. I was an 18 year old freshman living in the dorms when I took my six calculus classes. The USAF was paying for all of it. I partied my ass off.
After the AF stopped giving me a free ride, I wound up working to pay for my college 100%... tuition, rent, meals, books, utilities. It took me 5.5 years to get a four year degree.
Anyway, by the time I was a senior, I was 23 years old and considerably more focused on what is important. It was not easy but my major GPA was around a 3.4. Those early freshman course grades were so low my overall GPA was 2.92.

Alcohol and calculus don't mix. Never drink and derive!
But beer and calculus are integral parts of the college experience...they help differentiate the cool guys from the nerds. Drinking a number of them is a rational response in an irrational world and thus an important factor in enjoying one's studies.

Don't worry about it. Honestly, we shake our heads at the ones who should be coming to get help, but don't.
Hard work perseveres. Keep it up.
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan press on has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. No person was ever honored for what he received. Honor has been the reward for what he gave."
