I got this damn malware in my computer again. You go do a search and it comes up with other sites like "gugle" and various search engines.

Can anyone recommend software that's really good at removing this stuff? I tried using Adaware and it did nothing.

I got the Trend Micro product for the PC side of mine. The Mac partition runs naked but there's no way I'd be uncovered on the Windows partition.

Well I loaded Malwarebytes and ran a scan. It said it found nothing malicious which is strang because I KNOW there's stuff in there. I'll keep an eye on things to see if "gugle.com" or any of the other sites pop up again.

It's only when I'm surfing the web does this happen.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions.

At this point one usually asks at what websites are you visiting when experiencing this phenomenon?

I like ahnlab... it's both anti virus and anti malware but doesn't like to run simultaneously with other programs. Best I've seen so far.

FYI...I ran Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, SUPERAntispyware, AVG and AdAware ALL in safe mode. Nothing found, but I still have the problem of being relocated to search websites.

I'll have to rebuild this damn thing, I know it. :willy:

any updates?

Sorry dude, but she's still acting up. I've tried it all and it's a particularly nasty little bug. I'm going to re-load my computer for a few reasons:

1) I know it'll take care of the bug once and for all

2) There are a few things I've wanted to straighten out as far as drivers and software that will be solved by a re-load.

3) I'm going to put some financial software on here to track my accounts and I don't want to do it if I know it can be contaminated.

Thanks for everyone's help though. If this gets into your system, I'm afraid you're screwed.

Probably your best course of action. I had to re image my pc a month ago due to a virus. That went past anti virus software and malware software.
