I was reading in another thread of a concern if White Castle was still in B.G. or if Krystal's had replaced them.

For your culinary pleasure . . .

WHITE CASTLE
3039 Scottsville Rd.
Intersection of I-65 & Scottsville Rd (U.S. Rt. 231)
Bowling Green KY, 42101
(270) 782-8128

KRYSTAL
2704 Scottsville Rd,
Bowling Green KY, 42104
(270) 781-8412

and to both, I say :puke:

I just had some Bacon Cheese ones the other day. They rawked.

They are pretty close. The bread on the Krystal is a little fluffier. I think WC has more options though.

Krystals has little chilli-cheese pups (dogs) that are pretty damn good too.

Having said that, at 3am and drunk, cardboard can be tasty

Get the suitcase, give away 30 sliders and then eat the box.

But.........the current argument has nothing to due with burgers...different animal, it's sliders...which WC gets credit for. :D

White Castles have holes in the meat and Krystal's don't - therefore you get more with Krystals.

Whenever I get back to where I grew up (Nashville) a few of us get together to reminisce and go to Krystal with the understanding that "He who eats the least picks up the tab for all!" The expression on the face of the cooks when several old guys (mid-60s) wander in at night and order massive numbers of cheeseburgers, fries, and coffee is hilarious. We start with a dozen each!

My personal best in the last decade has been 23 cheeseburgers, two cups of coffee and a large french fry. . . and I was second from last so I didn't have to pay. The winner put down 32 cheeseburgers!

I don't know about that. A double order of hash browns, scattered, smothered, double chunked, and double covered with two eggs and some bacon (nom, nom) is good at O-dark-thirty when you may have had a little too much of the "oh, be joyful liquid".

In n Out is good, but I think over-rated. What is good about them is they are not a franchise and are all company owned. This gives them much better control over the consistency and quality of the product. The best part is that the tomato and lettuce on the burger is always fresh and excellent quality. The fries are not very good. Always seem under-cooked to me.

Get a Whopper Jr at Burger King and that's pretty much an In n Out burger, although not quite as good.

I'm over 50 miles from the nearest one and every time I've been there I waited in line 20 minutes and then waited another 20 minutes for my food. No fast food is that good. YMMV.

same here. I've never been to In & Out either; but only hear good things about them.

The only gourmet hamburger joint in out area is 5 Guys. Like you said, it's good... but I'm open to any other options.

The one complaint have about 5 Guys is that their seating area is the most uncomfortable area I think I've ever sat in. Heck; Burger King is more relaxing to sit & eat.
