It's just some ad server throwing content related ads up.... just like how the ads at the bottom of a thread usually pertain to the topic being discussed... the ad server constantly scans the content of the page and decides wich of the ads it has available is most relevant.

The banners at the top are a rotation of supporting vendor ads.
For example, as i continued to refresh the page, I saw banners for:
Breathless
Vette Essentials
Southern Car Parts
EVS Corvette
CF "become a supporting member"
Callaway
Corvettewheels.com
GMpartsdirect..com
FasterProms
Roger's Corvette
AFR
Mid America
Dewitt's
Creative Engine Covers
Racetronix
All CF sponsor names you probably recognize...
I gave up trying to find the Porsche dealer banner again. But it's not quite random content. Someone paid for it to be there.
And it's still rather funny too.
The ad was taken out by the guy in the Carrera I roasted last week. If everyone buys a Porsche, he won't get ate up.

Tom you're correct.... the banner ads are paying customers and they change with page refresh.

It's like back in '07 when I posted about eBay running vendor ads when members couldn't even mention eBay in posts. :toetap:
