As I was coming back from dropping off the boy at his morning workout class, some idiot in a Buick somethingorother decided he wanted to have a go with me on this fairly open stretch of road. Now, I was about half-asleep, and I don't usually get on it at all (i was within 5 MPH of the posted speed), but this yahoo was right on my damn bumper so to speak. So I come up on this bend in the road which is about a 40MPH curve for most vehicles. For mine, 60MPH without breaking a sweat. I look up and sure enough, the dumbass starts to lose it in the turn, then recovers and stays well back of me from then on. :rolleyes:

My question is, how friggin' stupid must you be to really think that your (at least) 8 year old sedan is going to keep up with a brand new Vette? Turn your hat around and get a brain, junior. :willy::willy::willy:

I had a moron in a Brand New BMW 5 Series (you fill in the expletive) do the same to me the other day. Now granted, the newer BMW are quite faster than before, but the fact that I was in my Corvette and I know exactly where I’m going, didn’t make the driver of the BMW any smarter. I have far more invested in my car that he does and a lot more to lose, I decided to make his day and let him imagine he’s faster and let him finally go around me. I don’t street race, especially if my Wife is in the car with me.

But to answer your original question … Yes; People are that Stupid. :iagree:

En route to an accident about a month ago, we had a 16 year old kid decide he didn't need to pull over for an ambulance. We got around him but the first responder behind was run OFF the road by the punk. Two lane Farm to Market road and the kid forced the first responder into the on coming lane and into the bar ditch. SO and DPS finally get the kid stopped and asked him why he did what he did. The kid's answer..."It was a no passing zone and I wasn't going to let him pass." Never mind he could have caused another accident.

Yep peoples is stoopid.:beat::beat::beat:

Well, yes. Yes, they are.

I had two yokels in a 15-year-old F-150 try and run my in my old C4 once on Hwy 281. Nice wide 4 lane highway, straight as a string and then into a tightening left hander. I got to the bend doing about 120 and they were all over the road trying to get the old truck to stay together and upright.

It could have killed them.

We seem to have a higher yokel ratio out here.

The most memorable time I had to use the fast-corner-to-lose-tailgater trick the Mustang in the mirror quickly became the Mustang in the ditch. :lol:
But that was long before I had the Vette. (had an AWD Eclipse at the time).

Not sure what that guys deal was, straight 4 lane blvd, no traffic, he could have passed me at any time, but insisted on riding my ass no matter how much I sped up. Doing about 70 in a 45, him still right on my tail, I decided to accelerate into a sweeping right turn onto a freeway onramp. He tried to follow, but about midway of the corner he realized he wasn't gonna make the turn and stood on the brakes. :nono: Dumbass skidded straight down the grass embankment.

I kept going, as from what I saw he was probably able to drive out of where he ended up. But the marks on the pavement were probably not the only skidmarks he created that day.:rofl:

I just hate it when they don't give us room period. I can park my rig almost into a single spot...F450 ambulance it just a little bigger, but I usually park in the back of a lot somewhere and split the line...if I don't people are for some reason attracted to parking in the spots on either side to the point I cant get the door open to get in, let alone move the damn thing...of course my favorite was I was running 70 on a two lane stretch of road with a 65 speed limit, and some bimbo decides to pass me on the right....yup...the shoulder lane.

But she had someplace IMPORTANT to go......like a hair appointment. My partner scares me bad enough without some moron on the road deciding he needs to enforce traffic laws as he sees fit.
