Local radio station has different area businesses put up goodies for auction starting at 50% off ( some less ). They call it "Bid-On-The-Valley"

I had the winning bid for 250 gallons of heating oil, a $930 value for $785 :hurray:

I also bid on the 150 gallons ( same price per gallon ) but lost that one.

Just need to set up delivery :seasix:

Hope your pipes don't develop a slow leak over the Summer. That happened to my grandpa and the smell never went away. I don't know how he lived in that house.

Is that cheaper than a natural gas heating system, or is natural gas just not available in your area?

A normal winter I'll use about 400 gallons of heating oil. ( plus about 1.5 ton of coal )

This winter I only used about 300 gallons. :seasix:

That's a Franco-Belge gravity feed oil burner. That's in the basement and is usually run from October to April on low. It radiates heat and keeps the floors warm. Plus the heat goes thru the house. This year it got shut off in the beginning of March

Not so fast. Doomsday preppers always have a nuke hanging around, and they aren't afraid to use them.

Too much "country" out here for natural gas. The folks in town have that option.

I have my own stash too :slap:

:D

It's not official though until you go on TV and tell the whole world your preparations and secrets.

Same here..never understood the thinking behind those people...or where they get the money to do the outlandish things they do. Takes quite a while I imagine to get the extra cash.
