So...

A Month ago, Mrs. Hyrar had a spinal fusion.

Thursday, my 2008 BMW 535xi (with 40,004mi) died...engine quit, electrical system expired, left me sitting on the entrance ramp/right hand lane of the local interstate. The local populace seemed to think I was a number one guy (that is what them extending a single finger to me as they passed my car for the 100 minutes I sat in that lane waiting for a tow, a state cop or something good to happen). I'm getting a new car when I get this POS back...I've got to own at least one bullet-proof car between sMr. yaHrr and me and her Toyota POS is 10 years old and has 93,000 mi. I'm glad I got the extended insurance and service.

Thursday night, Msr. yarrH took a spill, broke 3 ribs, and, until we got the CT Scan results today, might have ruptured a kidney of a lung per the pain and other miscellaneous difficulties. I've been arguing with her to join me on a brief sojourn to the local temple of healing for two days. At least she didn't deck up the fusion (we think).

Today, as we sat in the emergency room, my wife commented that I seemed to be getting more gray hair since her first surgery.

Boy, I'm glad I have adequate capital and have zero debts, complete ownership of our home and no lien on my testicles. I wonder what folks with real stress do?

Hate to hear about Mrs. Harry. I hope she gets well very soon.

I love the look of the BMW's, but it's crazy how many stories I hear like that. 40,000 miles is nothing. A car that expensive should go 150,000 - 200,000 with minimal issues.

I suppose they manage whatever is thrown their way. For many many people there is simply no alternative.

The car situation can easily be fixed. Hello, new car salesman...

As for the wife, I'm quite sure you used a number or three you already knew to call for a consult. Get well, Mrs Howard. :seasix:

Life sucks. I have debt, it makes the suckage worse. Pray I get the job tomorrow or Tuesday.

Glad you are both OK.

Seriously Harry, hope you are past the troubles for a while. Everytime I start to feel down about the way things are going I stop and tell myself not only am I doing better than most here in the US, I am still better off than 99.99% of the worlds population...not living in a mud hut in some country where different factions are trying to extermnate each other, just trying to find my next meal.

Thanks to all for the good wishes...and I don't really give a shit about the Bimmer. It will simply fade into well-deserved obscurity, to be replaced by a car I can trust. Since I'm not planning to trade in rMs. ryHra, that's my only real concern. For you Dilaudid users who are out, eat your hearts out...I know I am.

I have heard magical things about that medication.

I hope Mrs. YArrh (I'm in a pirate mood) heals up quickly. Being busted up sucks. The car? Take it into the desert and film your own episode of Myth Busters. :cert:
