I picked this camera up last year at a garage sale for a buck.

It's a lot like a holga with the plastic lens (and photo quality), so I figured why not throw a roll in it. Well, I shot up until the number 36 in the little window, and then a few more. The thing won't rewind, won't open. Any thoughts?

(and yes, I tried the little button on the bottom.)

I had a Pentax do that. Took it to a camera shop and they got the film out without exposing it and repaired the camera. I think they called it the spocket maybe that winds the film. It was a long, long time ago.

Sprocket or the film jumped the track somehow. I had a Canon somehow get goofchinked and it wouldn't rewind.

Take it into a light tight room, be sure to wait for 3-4 minutes to let you eyes adjust to the dark. You'll then be able to see all the light leaks which you can then block with towels or tape, then you can pry open the camera and manually rewind the film back into the cassette.

A broken release pin could also be the reason it was only $1.00 :D
