If I was a cop I would unmercifully harass logging trucks and their drivers.
Every one of 'em looks like an accident waiting to happen.

That's exactly what I thought of when I saw that pic, here's one of the best movie scenes ever.

I've seen logs fall off the back of the trailer multiple times on the highways and the back roads of Ft. Benning. The way they "secure" the loads for transport is a friggen joke and better tie-down standards need to be put in place. No need to restrict transportation, just need to do it in a safer way.
I see one hell of a lawsuit being brought on by the mini-van owners and I would fully support it.

Never any working taillights, no tag, bald tires...yet those concerned w/ our "safety" make sure they pull over someone who can pay the fine.
"Hell, that's old BillyJoeBob. He's jist a goin' to the pulpwood factoree up yonder way"
Sorry for the rant, Mark.

And they are always overloaded. Top-heavy as hell.
You pray that when he spills it, it's on an outside curve.

One of the first traumas I had starting out in my profession was a school teacher that had the unfortunate timing to be at the wrong place when a load of logs let go. :willy:
