I've thought about a buying a 5D classic to give FF a try.

I've read some hype about the III having poor or very slow AF.

Supposedly the III will be better.

I had a 5D system for a year and loved it:yesnod: Then we decided to stick with Nikon so it went away. Nikon insisted on it....and they crushed all traded in equipment. I pictured this fancy crusher till a Nikon rep told me that they just took the stuff out into the parking lot and went at it with sledge hammers.

I have an old D300 now but it's a little workhorse.
