Could be take out, something you made that was no good, anything really.
I just had the displeasure of taking a bite of the worst pad thai I have ever had.
I mean there is bad, and there is nasty.
This is even way past nasty. :issues::issues::issues:
I swear if there was anything that tasted like old, sweaty, unwashed ass filled with willnots this would be it.
As soon as I tried it I spit it out and went and brushed my teeth.
It didn't smell bad.
I didn't even throw it out here, I went to the gas station next door and dumped it in their garbage. :sadangel:
So what you got?

It happened on a date i wish not to remember. She apparently preferred to use the "drip dry" method and I, having absolutely no sense of smell, couldn't tell there was an issue until it was way, way too late :ack:

Sushi. I think it was something called a California Roll. My wife talked me into trying it. I took one bite, ran across the restaurant to the bathroom and spit it out in the toilet. I seriously don't know how anyone eats this disgusting crap. It tasted like slimy seaweed wrapped around raw fish that had been rotting in the sun for a week.

The grossest thing you ever had in your mouth, or the grossest thing you actually ate?

Either. I never ate the pad thai.
Something you were going to eat though. Not a worm because someone dared you.

Most recently there was the pork sticks here. I bought four and on first bite, I thought they tasted a little off but hey, I bought them from a sidewalk vendor so strange is their normal. I continued on like a champ and finished one stick. The wife had one bite and stopped. She gave the rest to the dog. The next day, me and the dog went painting the 'hood. You know it's bad when the stuff blows up the dog.

'97 Mary and I were vacationing in the Bahamas with my parents ( they paid :hurray: )
We were eating at Fatman's nephews in Port Lucaya ( Freeport City ) on Grand Bahama Island. Since I'm always one to try something different, I ordered Bahamian Turtle Soup
The first few mouthfulls were really good, nice firm texture and a wonderful blend of spices.
Then I got to something really soft like fat or other "unedible" bits :wtf: I was undecided on whether to spit it out or not but just ate it. :slap:
I've eaten a lot of very different foods but that is one I will NEVER order again.

The most bizarre (and perhaps nasty to some) was a shaved lobster tail served at a great restaurant in Shanghai. I attended a dinner hosted by some new Chinese business partners. The lobster tail was shaved and placed on a bed of ice -- from the ice emerged the front half of the lobster, arched up like he was reaching for the ceiling.
Thing was, the lobster was alive, waving his antennae and claws around like crazy. Turns out it was considered a big honor to receive this dish, the ultimate in freshness.
I loved it, but fellow Westerners at the event were grossed out.

BTDT tastes great, less filling :)
I've had cat, Dog, Snake, Worms, Birds nest soup, Frog Ovary soup, Chicken Feet, Duck Feet, Chicken Cockles, Rooster balls, Jelly fish and many other things I was to drunk to remember or I forgot to ask WTF it was.
Most I would have again. Some never again. But I am game to try about anything.

Goose intestines....in a brown sauce while in China. I ate it then turned to my MIL and asked what it was. I never asked again:lol:
If she told me I'd like it, I tried it and I never had a tummy upset the whole trip. Wonderful lady, I miss her.

I have eaten all over the world and had some very interesting food but none has been worse than when I was in Australia and had one of their favorite dishes, they use it on everything. I guess it is an acquired taste but not for me.

I agree 100%. Real Chinese food remains my favorite - and I've eaten all over the world. Once my Chinese friends learned that I truly enjoyed their native food, I ate some wonderful dishes! Three things are on my not-again list, though: black eggs, shark-fin soup, and monkey brain.
Over the last couple of years, I've 'advanced' to the point of acting as dinner host in China. That means you select all of the live food in the tanks and cages for the group to enjoy. That adds a bit to the adventure in some restaurants, though -- you have to go through their kitchen and down into the basement to view the live food. Just like US restaurants, there are some things patrons aren't too thrilled to see! (Everybody likes sausage, but nobody wants to see it made...).
Now that I'm retired, I probably won't be going back to China. I'll miss my Chinese friends, but will miss the food most of all. :(
