Had a '78 810 wagon when the kids were new in the early 80's, that car was gotten cheep because of a bad wire/plug connection to the injection fuel pump in the right rear wheel well, I found it and fixed it....

used to to haul a load of concrete into the back yard, totalled the clutch doing it, clutch felt like a auto tranny after that little episode....

it smelled of Hashish when we got it, bought from some arab type....

took about a year for it to finally go away....

sold it after ~5 years for maybe 1000 less than we paid for it....

I always thought those were cool cars. Some friends of mine drove them in HS back in the late 70's and early 80's.

Was it a turbo model, perchance? I always thought they'd make a dope project car; along with that there Ford EXP Turbo. I liked the sugar scoop headlamp buckets on those EXP's!

I almost bought a 1970 240Z. Even drove it. Guy wanted $3000 and it had 90,000 miles on it. I just couldn't justify owning 2 sports cars while still going to college. I still think they are sharp cars.

I loved the Cylon Raider louvers on that joker, too. One of the few cars that looked good with 'em, IMO, O.E.M. OR aftermarket.
