I will never forget during Agness HurryCaine in DC, '72 or so, and driving home in my '67 GP from the Fiance's apt/ at about 330am, taking a right, to go over a bridge, and stopping, looking at the railings and trying to remember the pitch of that bridge, all I could see was water and the railings, trying to judge if I could make it or not, finally turned around and drove another way to my place so I could shower and go to work.....turns out, there was another ditch not so very far away that I drove by some days later on....and sure enough, there was a VW bug about submerged with the back window visible, we stopped to look but if anyone was in it, they were dead....and a Mustang, like a '68 or so and it was setting up on some trees/branches/crap, and the car was totally silver, as in the paint was washed off the car, sandblasted if you will, we could see rust starting to form on the body panels....lesson is, don't mess with mommy nature, that bitch will GET you....

guy came did a quick run back and closed his car door? wtf...

I suppose staying in the car was the best option...but as soon as I saw the water coming around the corner I'd have made a beeline for the building.
