We keep a chlorine tablet in ours. Have to add one about every month. Keeps the bowl clean and shiny.

I just use Ajax
My inlaws have a seldom used bathroom in the basement that was absolutely disgusting and my MIL mentioned getting a new one.
My mom told her about a pumice stone..and she went out and got one.
She said it looked like brand new.

Lysol has some pretty bad assed toilet cleaner. Turn the water off, flush, then apply and let sit.

I went to Wal Mart and got an Earth Stone. .It is similiar to pumice but not nearly as rough. I used this on ring in the toilet and it went away. Simple. Cost less than 3 bucks.

Makes sense.....a sitting bad ass caused the problem, maybe it can be the solution as well.

:iagree:
Pour 1 cup of Muriatic Acid down the overflow pipe in the tank. Let this sit overnight.
Not only will it get rid of the stain, it will also open up the clogged holes where the water comes into the toilet bow.
I do this about once a year at our house on all our shitters. :cert:

Turn the water off and flush to lower the water in the bowl, then try one of those Magic Erasers. It takes off nearly any stain.
It's Magic, pure Magic.

Or, go for broke.
3 parts sulferic acid, 1 part nitric acid = aqua regia.
The only acid that will dissolve gold.
